How to Prepare for an after work Valentine's Dinner Date with your Man

Monday, February 13, 2012

This year's Valentine's Day falls on a working day.  Not unless you decided to skip work, lack of time to prepare for your date can be a problem.

However, here are some of the things you can do to make that after work date extra special.

1.  Pamper yourself for your man.  Have your nails done before that day. Freshen up your hairstyle.  If you already feel good about yourself, then making yourself look extra special for your man on your dinner date won't be too hard... even if you have to do it after work.

2. Wear your best dinner date clothes that are still appropriate for work. For instance, wear a dress with a jacket.  This will easily transform your special dinner date dress into clothes that are still appropriate for work.  However, don't just choose the best dress...make sure that your skin looks smooth and hair free too.  The best dress can be overshadowed by a hairy underarm or legs that badly need some waxing.

3. Put on some long-wearing make-up.  Choose something that you can easily freshen up towards the end of the day.  Don't forget the small details before you wear your make-up.  Make sure that your eyebrows are well-trimmedRemove any excess facial hair.

4.  Wear the appropriate shoes.  If your man is a bit short, make him feel a bit taller by not wearing your highest heels.  You can still wear some sexy shoes with heels that are just a few inches high.

5. Get him a special Valentine's gift and write a heartfelt message on the card.

6. For a change, why not prepare a dinner date at home.  It doesn't have to be something really hard to prepare.  You can even get some really clever meal ideas from your local supermarket. Just prepare an entree, a main course and a yummy dessert with a matching good bottle of wine.

Lastly, make sure that you don't talk about work during your date. Have happy thoughts.  Leave the stress of work at your office.    Enjoy the moment.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Michelle
